Professional Counselling in Paisley

A safe space
to be heard

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Perhaps things have been building up for a while, or something has happened that's left you struggling to cope. You don't have to go through this on your own.

I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what's going on for you, at your own pace.

I'm a BACP-registered counsellor with over 12 years' experience, working with adults and young people aged 16 and over. I offer person-centred counselling, which means I will listen with care and without judgement, supporting you to explore your thoughts and feelings and make sense of your experiences. Together, we can begin to understand what's going on for you and find a way forward that feels right.

Counselling can help you to:

  • feel less overwhelmed
  • understand yourself more deeply
  • build confidence and self-acceptance
  • process difficult experiences
  • find healthier ways of coping
  • feel more in control of your life

I offer both in-person sessions in Paisley and online counselling. If you're thinking about starting counselling, you're very welcome to get in touch. I understand that taking the first step can feel difficult, and I will respond in a warm and supportive way.

I'm Louise

I'm a BACP-registered counsellor with over 12 years' experience supporting adults and young people aged 16 and over.

I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to put things into words. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to counselling — we can take things at your pace.

My aim is to offer a safe, calm, and non-judgemental space where you feel able to talk openly about what's going on for you. I will listen with care and respect, helping you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels manageable.

Why I Became a Counsellor

My journey into counselling was shaped by my own life experiences, as well as being alongside close family members during challenging times.

These experiences gave me a deep appreciation of how important it is to feel heard, supported, and not alone when things are difficult. They also led me to want to offer that same understanding and space to others.

My Approach

I work in a person-centred way, which means I believe you are the expert in your own life. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I will support you in understanding yourself more deeply, so you can make choices that feel right for you.

Over the years, I have supported people with a range of experiences, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, and experiences of abuse. I also work with issues around identity and life transitions.

I work gently and patiently, building a trusting relationship where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe that being truly listened to can be a powerful part of making sense of things and beginning to move forward.

I offer both in-person sessions in Paisley and online counselling, depending on what feels most comfortable for you.

If you're considering counselling and would like to get in touch, you're very welcome to contact me to arrange an initial conversation.
